At Dance Discovery, our passion is dance and we don’t limit ourselves to just one season! Our summer programs cater to young dancers who are looking for an introduction to dance or for experienced dancers who are looking to train in the off-season!

PRINCESS PARTY

Princess Party is a 4 day, un-parented program, designed for students 3-5 years of age who are looking for an introduction to dance! Tiny Ballerinas will dance, leap and twirl through the magical kingdom as we begin each day with the fundamentals of ballet! This sparkling summer camp includes a simple daily craft that is inspired by our DAILY PRINCESS THEME.

And the fun doesn’t stop there; on the final day, dancers will enjoy a visit from a special princess and parents will enjoy a performance that dancers have prepared to showcase all they have accomplished in the week!

Session offered: August 19-22, 2024 from 9:30-10:30
$90 if registered before June 15, 2024
Students must be 3 years of age by August 1, 2024
Students are asked to wear a ballet bodysuit and tights along with ballet slippers. If you do not have these items, a bodysuit and bare feet is also acceptable
Experience in a dance program is not required!

DANCE + DAZZLE

Dance + Dazzle is a 4 day, un-parented program, designed for students 5-7 years of age. Dancers will experience ballet, jazz, hip hop and acro each day along with a craft that is inspired by our fabulous DAILY THEMES!

And the fun doesn’t stop there; on the final day, dancers will enjoy a visit from a special movie character and parents will enjoy a performance that dancers have prepared to showcase all they have accomplished in the week!

$135 if registered before June 15, 2024
Students must be 5 years of age by August 1, 2024
Female students are asked to wear a ballet bodysuit and tights along with ballet slippers. Male students are asked to wear shorts and a t-shirt along with ballet or jazz shoes. If you do not have the listed dance footwear, bare feet is also acceptable.
Experience in a dance program is not required!

DANCE IT OUT!

Dance It Out is a 4-day program, designed for experienced dancers 7-11 years of age. Led by Dance Discovery’s master instructors, Carmelle, Morgan and Kellie, dancers will focus on ballet, jazz, acro and hip hop training each day. Our goal is to enhance the skills of our experienced dancers and give them a head start on the upcoming dance season! A final day performance is included to show off all the new skills we have acquired!

Session offered: August 19-22, 2024 from 10:00-2:15
$290 if registered before June 15, 2024
Students must be 7 years of age by March 1, 2025
Students must have a minimum of 1 year of completed formal dance training.
Students are asked to wear leggings or dance shorts and a fitted tank top or half top.
Students will use their jazz shoes, bare feet for acro and indoor use runners for hip hop.

BALLET MASTER SERIES

Aiming to inspire and challenge all dancers who are looking to elevate their training, our BALLET MASTER SERIES will focus on Progressing Ballet Technique, Classical Technique, Pointe (where applicable) and Variations.

Working with Edmonton’s leading ballet educators, Erin Madsen, Colleen Boe and Heather Cave, this intensive is for focused and committed dancers looking enhance their skill-set and start the upcoming season with new found strength and confidence.

Our BALLET MASTER SERIES is open to all dancers, regardless of where they receive their full-year respective training.

JUNIOR/INTER (for dancers 9-12 years of age who are training in RAD grade 3-5 or equivalent)

Session Offered: August 6-8, 2024 from 10:00-1:30
$255 if registered before June 15, 2024

INTER/ADVANCED (or dancers 12-17 years of age who are training in RAD Inter Foundation- Advanced 2 or equivalent)

Session Offered: August 6-8, 2024 from 11:00-3:00
$300 if registered before June 15, 2024

ELEVATE – SUMMER TRAINING FOR FOCUSED DANCERS

Time to ELEVATE your technique and artistry. Our NEW summer training program, will focus on 4 main elements that are paramount to dancers who are aiming to achieve the highest level of dance. With a focus on ballet foundations, turn technique, jumps and power and performance and style development, Dance Discovery’s master educators are ready to help you ELEVATE to new heights!

SCHEDULE
Elevate will run Tuesday and Wednesday evenings commencing August 13 and concluding September 4. Two levels will be running concurrently and dancers will be separated by age/ability; Age 9-12 and age 13+

WEDNESDAYS
5:00-6:30 Ballet Foundations
6:30-8:00 Jumps and Power

COST
The program will be offered in both 4 week and 3 week options to accommodate holiday plans that may prevent you from attending the full 4 weeks.
4 week option: $360 if registered by June 15. $410 if registered after June 15
3 week option: $280 if registered by June 15. $330 if registered after June 15
